Terms of Use

All reasonable efforts have been made by Electric Heating Expert (EHE) to ensure that the information and material provided on this website is accurate at the time of publication. Whilst EHE endeavours to maintain this website with up-to-date information, there may be occasional inaccuracies. EHE reserves the right to adjust pricing and product specifications of all electric heating equipment without notice. This website contains material which is owned by or licensed to us. This material includes, but is not limited to, the design, layout, look, appearance and graphics. Reproduction is prohibited other than in accordance with the copyright notice, which forms part of these terms and conditions. Any links to other websites are provided for your convenience to provide further information. They do not signify that we endorse the website(s). You may not create a link to this website from another website or document without the permission of EHE. Your use of this website and any dispute arising out of such use of the website is subject to the laws of England and Wales.

Liability

EHE accepts no liability for any direct, indirect or consequential damages, or lost profits, or other losses or damages of any kind, whether or not EHE is advised of the possibility of such damages that may occur as a result of using this website and the software or data that it contains. All written materials supplied by EHE, either in correspondence or published on the internet reflect opinion, and claims in respect of product specification and performance are approximate.

Installation

For safety reasons, products such as electric radiators should only be installed by a competent person in accordance with current regulations and the manufacturer’s instructions. Reference should be made to Part P of current Buildings Regulations for further information. The customer must ensure that all items are received in full, and in an acceptable condition prior to installation and prior to booking a qualified installer. Failure to do so may result in additional costs to the customer for return visits, which EHE cannot be held responsible for.

General terms and conditions

Pricing and ordering All list pricing from EHE is for guidance purposes only and is subject to change without notice. All quotations are valid for a period of 20 days from the official quotation date. All customer orders require a valid quotation from EHE in order to be processed and fulfilled. Quotations must be checked for accuracy by the customer before confirming an order. EHE accepts no responsibility or liability for incorrect orders. Any adjustment or exchange of goods after the delivery has been carried out is at the expense of the customer.

All orders are subject to VAT at the prevailing rate. All special order requirements must be declared and agreed prior to ordering by the customer, failure to agree this prior to the order (and detailed in the quotation) will result in the order being invalidated and standard terms and conditions of sale will prevail.

Cancellation and adjustment of orders

EHE reserves the right to cancel customer orders if the customer fails to adhere to the terms of the order in respect to payment whether in full or in part, or where there is a breach of the terms and conditions at point of sale/order. Customers can cancel an order up to 24 hours after EHE has received the order, but must pay any applicable charges incurred by EHE when a refund is issued. These charges may include, but are not limited to applicable card transaction fees and surcharges and delivery and collection costs. This does not apply to faulty goods where your statutory rights are unaffected. In accordance with Distance Selling Regulations 2000, EHE reserve the right not to offer refunds on items that have been made to order. You must notify us of your intention to return goods within a period of 14 days from the date of your purchase. Returned goods must be in the original packaging and unopened. Where made to order items are found to be defective, the customer must advise EHE within 14 days of receipt so that a replacement may be issued. Please note that we are permitted by law to reduce refunded amounts to reflect any reduction in the value of the Products, if the reduction has been caused by your handling them in a way which would not be permitted in a shop.

The order will be non-cancellable under the following circumstances:

I) The order is in transit for customer fulfilment

II) The order has been delivered and the goods have been installed

III) For bespoke orders where manufacturing of the equipment has commenced

Non-faulty products may be returned to EHE within a period of 14 days from the date of delivery only if the items are unused and still in the unopened original packaging. We may request that photographs of the goods are provided in advance of the return. Goods received by us in a condition that is not as stated, will not be refunded and will be  returned to the customer.

Please contact us if you wish to return any items. You may arrange a return only with our prior consent and confirmation. Alternatively, we can arrange your return. Items delivered to you by pallet delivery service must be returned by pallet service. Items delivered to you by parcel service may be returned by parcel service. Parcel collection cost is £22.00 incl. Pallet collection cost is from £56.00 incl postcode area exclusions apply.

Delivery of orders

EHE takes great care to securely package every product that we ship to our customers using suitable packaging and using trusted logistics partners. EHE indemnify their position of responsibility at the point of shipping. By accepting the goods, the customer shall assume full responsibility for a consignment delivered to them by the logistics company. Upon delivery it is the responsibility of the customer to check that goods are received in full, and undamaged. If there is any visible damage to a packaging, this must be raised with the delivery representative at point of and reported to us immediately. Items should be checked or rejected on these grounds. In all instances. It is the responsibility of the customer to notify EHE of any shortages or damaged items. Any notification of shortages or damaged goods must be made to EHE at the point of delivery or within a maximum of a 24-hour period after the delivery.  EHE shall not be held responsible or liable for any damages or shortfalls of consignments once the customer accepts the goods.

*In line with Covid 19 restrictions and to ensure the safety of our customers and the delivery driver, a signature may not currently be required. Where no signature is required, goods must be checked and any notification of shortage or damage must be made within 24 hours of receipt of the delivery. Claims made after this period cannot be accepted.

Pallet delivery is carried out between the hours of 0900 and 1800. It is the responsibility of the customer to ensure that an authorised person is present in order to provide a signature between these times. Delivery is carried out by a third party who is contracted to deliver pallets “kerbside” at the main point of access to an address. This does not include the movement of pallets or items within a premises. Delivery drivers are not directly employed by EHE and as such are not insured or contracted to open sealed pallets, remove goods from pallets, or enter a premises for the purposes of handling goods.

It is the responsibility of the customer to ensure that access to the point of delivery is available and free from obstruction. Due to the nature of pallet deliveries, any timings given are approximate and subject to change without notice.

Where a delivery fails and must be reattempted due to an unnotified access restriction, or the authorised recipient being absent, a re-delivery fee of £48.00+VAT must be paid by the customer prior to any subsequent delivery attempt.

Delivery notice periods

All shipping times provided by EHE are approximate and for customer guidance purposes only and shall not be grounds for order cancellation. All made-to order items will be delivered to the customer within a period of 20 working days, where possible. EHE shall take reasonable measures to ensure that all orders are processed and fulfilled in a manner that is fair and reasonable.

Payment Terms and conditions

All customer orders placed with EHE require payment in full at the point of order unless otherwise agreed. Full balance payment by credit or debit card transaction does not incur and charge to the card holder.

Guarantee

All products supplied by EHE are subject to the guarantees provided by the manufacturer. EHE does not offer extended warranties on or above the direct agreements with these manufacturers. All returns must be authorised by EHE prior to any returns being accepted. Returned items must be sent at the expense of the customer, and in the original packaging. Heavy items such as radiators must be returned on a pallet and marked with a returns reference number.

EHE product warranty information

Economiser Electric Radiators are manufactured to our specification by a third party. Economiser Radiators come with a 30-year limited warranty from the manufacturer. This warranty comprises the following: 30-year warranty on outer steel and powder coated surface, 2 year warranty on electrical components within radiators, 30- year warranty on ceramic components within radiators 2 year warranty on electrical and electronic components. Heated towel rails supplied by EHE are guaranteed against defect for a period of 5 years. This covers against leakage and/or corrosion resulting from a manufacturing defect.  Electrical and electronic components are subject to a warranty period of 2 years.  Vantage Radiators are guaranteed for a period of 10 years. .This period covers the surface of the radiator against corrosion and also covers the body of the radiator against leakage. Associated and integrated electrical and electronic components being covered by a warranty period of 2 years.

During the warranty period of all products, replacement parts will be issued at no charge to the customer, where a fault has occurred as a direct result of a manufacturing defect. EHE's liability under this warranty is limited to making available free of charge parts required to make good defects or (at the sellers discretion) replacing of the defective goods.

*Warranty claims are subject to transport and handling charges. Faulty items returned to EHE for inspection must be appropriately packaged and marked with a returns reference number.

Jurisdiction

These terms and conditions are subject to UK law in England and Wales. The customer on placing an order with EHE automatically accepts these terms.
